FC Strausberg, simply known as Strausberg or FCS, is a German association football club based in Strausberg, the largest city in Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg. The club, that plays home games at the "Energiearena", has senior (players aged 35 years and over) and junior branches, including children.

History

The football club was founded in 1956 as Vorwärts Strausberg and it has mainly played in regional football leagues. Few years after German reunification, in 1995, the club was re-created with the current name, as the football department of the "KSC Strausberg", the local association regarding sport and culture.

Since 2005, Strausberg played in the Brandenburg-Liga, which was held in the following years with midfield places. In the 2012–13 season it won the championship and reached the NOFV-Oberliga Nord.

**FC Strausberg**

Az FC Strausberg egy 1950-ben alapított német labdarúgóklub. Székhelye Strausbergben, Brandenburg tartományban található. Jelenleg a DFB-Pokalban szerepel, amely a német kupaverseny.

A Strausberg hazai mérkőzéseit a Sportforum Strausbergnél rendezi, amely 3 000 néző befogadására alkalmas.

A csapat legnagyobb sikere az 1990-es évek végén és a 2000-es évek elején elért, amikor a Regionalliga Nordostban szerepelt, amely a német bajnokság negyedik szintje. 2001-ben a klub megnyerte a Brandenburg Kupát, és részt vett a DFB-Pokal első fordulójában.

Az elmúlt években a Strausberg a bajnokság ötödik szintjén, az Oberliga Nordost Nordban szerepelt. A 2022/23-as szezonban a klub a 10. helyen végzett.

A Strausberg első csapatát jelenleg Torsten Mattuschka edzi. A csapat kiemelkedő játékosai közé tartozik Jonas Lange, Christian Gawe és Kevin Kahl.

A Strausberg egy aktív közösségi klub, amelynek számos ifjúsági csapata és női csapata is működik. A klub szoros kapcsolatokat ápol a helyi közösséggel, és különféle rendezvényeket és programokat szervez.
